Schools to celebrate re-opening of schools on 1st March as “Welcome Events”

SRINAGAR, FEBRUARY 22 (STC): School Education Department in a circular has directed all government schools to celebrate the re-opening of schools in Kashmir after winter break on March 1, 2025 as ‘Welcome Event’.
All Hols have been advised to adhere to the instructions that the re-opening of schools needs to be celebrated in a festive ambience to attract the students in a conducive school environment. The Hols have been asked to ensure mobilization including preparation of Institutional Plan & time-table, sanitation, etc. well in advance and they shall be responsible for keeping all requisite arrangements ready before opening of schools. The HoIs have also been advised to ensure the minor repairs/retrofitting, if required, with regard to drinking water, electricity, toilets, window panes etc to be taken well in advance. The Biometric/JK Attendance Portal is to be ensured in working condition and updated as per their current staff in position.
“The Schools premises must be kept neat and clean and with a festive outlook and the Complex/Cluster Heads shall hold Sensitization Sessions with their respective clusters schools to gear up all the concerned for reopening of schools in light of the above instructions.” reads the circular. (STC)
