Search operations continues for 20th consecutive day in Chatroo, Kishtwar, to nab militants

: Intensive search and cordon activities under Operation Trashi-1 to trace militants believed to be hiding in the dense forest region in the Chatroo area of Kishtwar district entered its 20th day today.
Officials said the operation is being conducted with caution due to the challenging geography and dense vegetation of the Chatroo area.
Sources said additional forces have been deployed to strengthen the cordon and prevent any possible escape routes. Night surveillance and area domination measures have also been intensified as part of the ongoing operation.
Reports quoting officials said troops of the Assam Rifles have been carrying out sustained search operations deep inside the jungles, maintaining pressure on suspected terrorist hideouts. The area has been under close surveillance as part of efforts to prevent militant movement and ensure security in the region.
Security personnel have been combing difficult terrain and forested belts as part of a coordinated strategy to locate and neutralise the suspected militants.
Officials said the search efforts will continue until the area is fully sanitized.
