SIA recovers incriminating material during raids in Jammu province at 18 locations

: State Investigation Agency (SIA) of Jammu and Kashmir Police carried out coordinated raids at 18 locations across four districts, recovering a significant quantity of incriminating material.
In a statement, a police spokesperson said the well-planned raids were conducted simultaneously by dedicated SIA teams, assisted by local police and magistrates. The operation is part of the agency’s sustained efforts to dismantle sleeper cells and disrupt terror-support structures in the region.
Of the total locations searched, twelve were in Surankote subdivision and three in Haveli tehsil of Poonch district. Additionally, one location each was raided in Rajouri town, Ramnagar in Udhampur district, and Ramban.
“A substantial quantity of incriminating material has been seized and secured in accordance with legal procedures. The material is currently under detailed examination,” the statement said, adding that several suspects have been summoned for questioning at SIA Jammu as investigations continue.
The police spokesperson further said the operation was based on actionable intelligence and forms part of the agency’s ongoing campaign to uncover and neutralize covert terror networks in Jammu province.
“The State Investigation Agency is firmly committed to eradicating the terror infrastructure and ensuring the safety and security of the region,” the statement added. (STC)
