SRINAGAR, DECEMBER 05 (STC): Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) falls outside the purview of elected government, disclosed Jammu & Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah.
He was speaking at the SKIMS function celebrating Annual Day at SKICC here today. In his address, the Chief Minister raised concern over the administrative functioning of SKIMS, stating that the premier medical institution currently operates outside the decision-making authority of the elected government.
“Unfortunately, SKIMS is not in the control of the elected government. Files don’t come to us, and we are unable to take decisions related to the institution,” he said.
