SRINAGAR, NOVEMBER 11 (STC): With an aim to clear surplus or unidentified lockers occupying corridors and spaces within the GMC Srinagar and SMHS Hospital premises, the Administrator, Associated Hospitals, Government Medical College (GMC) Srinagar, through a circular has asked staff and students to mark their lockers with their name, designation, and code before the stipulated deadline of November 14.
Following the deadline, the Medical Superintendents of SMHS Hospital, Resident Medical Officers (RMOs) of respective floors, and the Estates-cum-Transport Officer of GMC Srinagar will conduct inspections to sort and remove unclaimed or excess lockers, the Administrator has said in the circular.
The circular warns that no claim will be entertained from any employee regarding lockers that remain unidentified after the specified period. It also instructs the Section Officers, Estates Officer, and Accounts Section not to issue any Last Pay Certificate (LPC), No Objection Certificate (NOC), or service book during employee transfer unless the individual’s locker is duly handed over.
The directive also emphasizes the need for maintaining discipline and order in hospital and college corridors by removing unused or unmarked lockers.
