Srinagar man arrested for forging CIK document

: Counter Intelligence Kashmir (CIK) has rounded up a fraudster here for using a forged document of CIK under the signatures of its SSP for vested interests.
The fraudster has been identified as Bilal Ahmad Rather S/O Abdul Samad Rather originally, a resident of 157-Allochi Bagh and presently residing at Zakura, Hazratbal Srinagar.
The operation was launched on a reliable input wherein it was revealed that the Bilal Ahmad Rather has collected a huge amount of money from general public by adopting dishonest and fraudulent means. These victims repeatedly approached Bilal Ahmad Rather for return of their money taken by committing fraud and cheating on them, Bilal Ahmad Rather refused to return the money to these aggrieved persons by taking a plea that his bank accounts are under scrutiny. He in order to mislead these people forged a letter shown to have been issued by the office of SSP CIKy
In the special operation, the said person was questioned and on preliminary examination and analysis of his Mobile device, the forged letter (enquiry notice) in question was found available in his Cell phone and same was retrieved. Bilal Ahmad Rather confessed that he has forged the enquiry notice to grab the money collected by him from different individuals.
Accordingly, the said person was handed over to P/S Zakoora Srinagar for taking necessary legal action. In this regard, P/S Zakura has registered a case FIR No 39/2025 U/S 318(4), 336(3), 336(4), 340(1) BNS, Bilal Ahmad has been arrested and investigation is in progress.
