Srinagar police recovers 290 bottles of Codeine Phosphate from residential house in Athwajan

SRINAGAR, JANUARY 23 (STC): A Jammu and Kashmir police party from Panthachowk Police Station recovered 290 bottles of Codeine Phosphate from a residential house in Athwajan, Srinagar.
According to the reports, police received a credible input about clandestine sale of Codeine Phosphate by one Irfan Ahmad Ganie, son of Manzoor Ahmad Ganie. Based on the top off, a team of police personnel conducted search operation at his residence in Athawajan. The search was carried out in the presence of the Tehsildar Panthachowk and recovered 290 bottles of Codeine Phosphate.
A case has been registered by the police under FIR No. 05/2025 under Sections 8/21 of the NDPS Act. Further investigation is currently in progress. (STC)
