Union Home Secretary chairs another high-Level meeting in Srinagar

Srinagar, December 31 (STC):
Union Home Secretary Govind Mohan led yet another high-level meeting at the Sher-e-Kashmir International Conference Centre (SKICC) in Srinagar, with security and development of J&K at the core of its agenda.
The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo, along with top officials from security forces and civil administration.
According to some news agency reports the meetings reviewed the progress of centrally sponsored flagship schemes, infrastructure development projects, and employment initiatives in the region.
The region’s tourism potential and how peace and development could boost this vital sector was also discussed, reveals the report.

A news gathering agency KINS quoting a senior official reported that “the focus was on ensuring that centrally sponsored schemes directly benefit the people of Jammu and Kashmir and contribute to the region’s overall development and stability.”
Remarkably, in a prior security meeting, Govind Mohan urged security agencies to adopt a balanced approach—fostering community relationships while taking firm action against terror.

As reported by the news agency, the previous day’s meeting brought together an array of senior officials, including IB Director Tapan Kumar Deka, NIA Director Sadanand Vasant Date, DG BSF Daljit Singh Chaudhary, CRPF DG Anish Dayal Singh, and J&K DGP Nalin Prabhat, among others. The attendees also included top military leaders such as GOC 15 Corps Lt Gen Prashant Srivastav and GOC 16 Corps Lt Gen Navin Sachdeva.(STC)
