Water Works Division Srinagar appeals consumers to pay water tax within week’s time

Srinagar, January 30 (STC): Department of Jal Shakti, Water Works Division Srinagar has appealed to its consumers to pay outstanding dues (water usage charges) within one week, beginning January 29.
In this connection the department has issued a notice dated January 29, 2025 appealing all consumers to pay their water tax witjin the stipulated time of one week, failing which the department will be constrained to initiate legal action against the defaulters.
Moreover, the notice carries a warning to those consumers who have been using water supply illegally without registering their connections.
“They are requested to get their water connections registered/regulated faillibg which the department shall be constrained to stop/ disconnect their illegal connections without any notice,” reads the notice.
The consumers can pay their water tax through any branch of J&K Bank or through net banking on the official website of the department www.jkphedwaterbilling.jk.gov.in.
For any query or complaint related to the outstanding dues, the consumers have been asked to visit the office of Water Works Division, Srinagar.
