Weatherman predicts more light rain, snowfall in higher reaches in parts of Kashmir over next 3 days

SRINAGAR, MARCH 10 (STC): As the overnight rains lashed Srinagar and other parts of Kashmir, the meteorological department has predicted generally cloudy weather with light rain and snowfall in the higher reaches of Kashmir over the next 72 hours.
A senior official at the Meteorological Centre Srinagar said that from March 10 to 11, the region is likely to witness generally cloudy conditions with light to moderate rain in the plains and snowfall over higher reaches at many places.
He said a few higher altitude areas of Kupwara, Bandipora, Ganderbal, Anantnag and Kishtwar may receive moderate snowfall during this period.
The weather conditions are expected to improve from March 12 to 15, with generally dry weather and occasional cloudiness. However, brief spells of light rain or snow may occur at isolated places during this period, the official said.
From March 16 to 18, the weather is likely to remain generally cloudy with light rain or snowfall over higher reaches at isolated to scattered places, he added.
