SRINAGAR, OCTOBER 26 (STC)
: All is not well within the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) as senior most leaders are joining together against their own leadership, especially Chief Minister Omar Abdullah.
Now National Conference’s Srinagar MP Aga Ruhullah has been joined by the senior Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) leader and Member of Parliament Mian Altaf Ahmad Larvi in criticising Omar-led government for failing to deliver in the interest of public.
Mian Altaf pointed out unrest among the youth because the government has failed to initiate recruitment drives. He said lakhs of educated youth with multiple degrees are feeling helpless.
He was speaking at the 4th Halla Bolle Conclave at Radisson Collection, Srinagar. He said that despite promises made during elections, the government has not started any significant recruitment process.
“Youth in Jammu and Kashmir are totally disappointed. Many of them hold PhD, postgraduate, and graduate degrees, yet no recruitment has taken place so far. The process should have begun from day one, with advertisements sent to recruitment agencies for the betterment of our youth.”
The MP added that as elected representatives, it is their duty to raise the voice of the people who voted them into power. “After all, we were chosen by the people, and we must fight for their rights,” he added.
Reacting to Chief Minister Omar Abdullah’s recent comments on smart meter installation, Larvi said, “It would be better for Omar Sahib to speak thoughtfully and with understanding.”
