She inaugurated Noor Khana and Sanitary Complex for Females at Dastgir Sahib Shrine in Srinagar.

SRINAGAR, NOVEMBER 26 (STC): Jammu and Kashmir Waqf Board during the past three years has set a higher standard for performance which has simultaneously increased the public expectations manifold. The Board has ensured transparency and accountability in its functioning.
Dr Syed Darakhshan Andrabi, Chairperson of Jammu & Kashmir Waqf Board, stated this while performing inauguration of some infrastructural projects today at the famous shrine of Peer Dastgir Sahib at Khanyar in Srinagar.
The projects include newly constructed Noor Khana and Ladies Sanitary Complex. Both the infrastructural projects were completed by the Board within the allocated time frame.
Dr. Andrabi while addressing a very impressive gathering on the occasion said, “We don’t believe in selling sentiments, but addressing to the sentiments of the people. We are committed to create the needed infrastructure at all shrines under the management of the Board at all costs with transparency and accountability.”
She said that the construction of the Noor Khana here was a dream project which has now been completed by the Board and it gives immense please to all of us. “In addition to Noor Khana, we today inaugurated a sanitary complex for females in the shrine complex which was needed a lot here. Waqf Board is continuing its developmental mission without any break throughout Jammu and Kashmir despite hurdles from those with vested interests”, said Dr Andrabi.
Notably, Chairperson Dr. Andrabi was accompanied by the Board members Dr Ghulam Nabi Haleem, Syed Mohammad Hussain Haqqani, Executive Magistrate of the Board Ishtiyaq Mohiuddin, Imam of Hazratbal Molvi Riyazul Haq & Imam of Khanyar Dargah Molvi Mudassir and the Executive Engineer Qazi Mushtaq and others.
