‘Raj Bhavan’ renamed as ‘Lok Bhavan’ in Jammu & Kashmir with immediate effect

SRINAGAR, DECEMBER 02 (STC): In line with directive of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Office has approved a formal change in the name of “Raj Bhavan, Jammu and Kashmir.” Henceforth it will be known as “Lok Bhavan, Jammu and Kashmir.”
According to the official notification, the new nomenclature has been adopted with immediate effect, bringing the Union Territory in line with the updated administrative directive issued by the Ministry.
The order clearly states that Raj Bhavan, Jammu and Kashmir, shall henceforth be referred to only as Lok Bhavan, Jammu and Kashmir. All future correspondence, documentation and official references will now reflect the revised name.
The notification came into force immediately upon issuance.
