SRINAGAR, JANUARY 08 (STC): Largely stable weather conditions across Jammu and Kashmir will prevail till January 22, with mostly partly cloudy skies expected across the region, said official weatherman today in Srinagar.
According to the MeT, brief spells of light rain or snow are likely at isolated places in the Kashmir division during January 16 and 17. In addition, light snowfall is expected over higher reaches on January 20.
A significant fall in minimum temperatures is expected across the region till January 10. Thereafter, minimum temperatures are likely to witness a gradual rise of one to two degrees Celsius, the weatherman said.
He further stated that moderate to dense fog is likely to persist over the plains of the Jammu division for the next five days, which may affect visibility during early morning and late night hours.
The Meteorological Centre has advised people, particularly commuters and motorists in fog-prone areas, to exercise caution during travel, while farmers and orchardists have been asked to plan their activities accordingly.
