13-year-old boy catches ‘suspicious’ pigeon near Pakistan border in Akhnoor

JAMMU, JANUARY 10 (STC): A 13-year-old boy in Akhnoor village near line of control (LoC) caught a ‘suspicious’ pigeon today, reports quoting Press Trust of India (PTI) said. Giving details of the incident, the reports state that the pigeon was caught from a forward village near the Line of Control (LoC) in Akhnoor sector.
“The pale grey pigeon with two black bars on each wing is carrying red and yellow rings in legs inscribed with ‘Rehmat Sarkar’ and ‘Rizwan 2025’ followed by certain numbers was caught by a 13-year-old boy, Aryan, at Kharah village this morning,” the PTI report quoting officials said.
Besides, the wings of the pigeons were also found stamped, the report said.
Notably the ‘suspicious’ piegon was handed over to Pallanwala police and further investigations have been launched.
