Haj Committee of India introduces online portal for pilgrims to book their own flights

STC NEWS MONITORING DESK
NEW DELHI, JANUARY 29 (STC) : In a first, marking a shift towards digitization and passenger choice in the pilgrimage process, the Haj Committee of India (HCoI) has rolled out a new self-service online portal for Haj-2026 pilgrims to book their own flight tickets.
According to reports confirmed by the official, the facility allows pilgrims to directly select and confirm their flights via the dedicated pilgrim login on the HCoI website and the ‘Haj Suvidha’ mobile application. The time-bound booking window is open for four days starting today.
This optional initiative aims to provide flexibility, enabling pilgrims to choose preferred travel schedules within the limits of available seats and airline operations, officials said.
However, those who do not utilize this self-booking option within the stipulated period will be automatically allotted flights by the HCoI, with no scope for accommodating individual preferences on date or carrier, reads the advisory of the Committee.
Notably, pilgrims can join the official Haj Committee WhatsApp channel for real-time updates.
