Vice President Radhakrishnan to attend KU’s Convocation on Feb 26, say officials

SRINAGAR, FEBRUARY 09 (STC): Vice President of India C. P. Radhakrishnan is expected to attend the 21st Convocation of the University of Kashmir as the chief guest. The Convocation is scheduled to be held on February 26, 2026, officials said.
Senior officials said logistical arrangements, including seating, security, traffic regulation, and hospitality, are being planned in view of the high-profile visit.
It will be C. P. Radhakrishnan’s first official visit to Jammu and Kashmir after assuming the office.
Officials said Radhakrishnan will deliver the convocation address at 11 a.m. at the Convocation Complex of the University of Kashmir.
Preparations for the prestigious academic event are in full swing at the varsity’s Hazratbal campus in Srinagar, they said adding, that University authorities are coordinating with civil administration and security agencies to ensure smooth conduct of the ceremony.
Notably, the convocation will witness the conferment of degrees on students who have successfully completed their academic programmes. Medals and awards are also expected to be presented to meritorious candidates for outstanding academic performance.
