J&K Government prepones Jumat-ul-Vida holiday to tomorrow

SRINAGAR, MARCH 12 (STC) The Government has preponed the holiday on account of Jumat-ul-Vida to March 13 (Friday) instead of the earlier notified date of March 20.
The decision has been taken in partial modification of Government Order No. 1894-JK(GAD) of 2025 and Government Order No. 1895-JK(GAD) of 2025, both issued on December 12, 2025.
“The holiday will now be observed on March 13 across the Jammu and Kashmir in view of the observance of Jumat-ul-Vida, the last Friday of the holy month of Ramazan. The directive has been issued by order of the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, reads the order.
