School Timings Revised Across Kashmir Division

SRINAGAR, MARCH 30 (STC): The government has ordered the revision of school timings for all Government and recognized Private Schools across the Kashmir Division.
As per the order issued by the Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK), the revised timings shall come into effect from April 1, 2026, and will be applicable to all educational institutions without exception.
According to the directive:
Schools falling within the Srinagar Municipal limits shall function from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
Schools located outside the Municipal limits of Srinagar District and in other areas of Kashmir Province shall function from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM.

The Directorate has emphasized that all institutions must strictly adhere to the prescribed schedule and no deviation shall be permitted under any circumstances.
The order has been circulated to all concerned authorities for immediate implementation, ensuring uniformity and effective academic functioning across the region.
