Jammu–Srinagar national highway blocked in Ramban

JAMMU, APRIL 06 (STC): A landslide in Ramban district today has blocked vehicular traffic on the Jammu–Srinagar National Highway, officials said.
According to the official information, heavy debris, including rocks and mud, slid down the hillside late Sunday night, hitting the stretch between Karol Bridge and Chanderkote has blocked both sides of the carriageway.
The situation has forced the the authorities to stop vehicular movement from either end of the highway as a precautionary measure to avoid any mishap.
Meanwhile, intermittent stone falls, as reported by the authorities, were continuing in the area. Efforts are underway to clear the debris and restore traffic.
