: Directing the debate on Urdu towards the attitude of Delhi, former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and National Conference President Dr. Farooq Abdullah said “Urdu will not finish.”
Reacting to the People Democratic Party’s (PDP’s) campaign that Urdu language has been removed in official matters, Dr. Farooq said, “Only opinions were sought about the Urdu and no decision has been taken.”
He questioned the Peoples Democratic Party over its Rajya Sabha voting stance, and commented on issues ranging from price rise to the status of Urdu.
Speaking to reporters at Hazratbal Srinagar, Dr Farooq referring to the recent Rajya Sabha elections, said his earlier congratulatory message to the Peoples Democratic Party was made without full information.
