Kashmir Jurists Bar Association apprises Union Law Minister of issues affecting legal community in J&K

NEW DELHI, JULY 03 (STC):
Kashmir Jurists Bar Association (KJBA) in a meeting has apprised the Union Minister for Law and Justice of several issues affecting the legal community in Jammu & Kashmir and emphasized the need for continued support towards strengthening legal institutions and ensuring greater access to justice for the people.
Notably, a delegation of the KJBA led by its President of Adv. Altaf Ganderbali, paid a courtesy call on the Union Minister for Law and Justice at his official residence, New Delhi. The KJBA’s Chief Coordinator, Adv. Tajamul Choudhary, was also present in the meeting.
According to a statement issues by the Association, the delegation held a cordial and meaningful interaction with the Minister on various issues concerning the legal fraternity, judicial reforms, access to justice, and matters relating to the welfare of advocates and the justice delivery system.
The Union Law Minister appreciated the constructive role being played by the Kashmir Jurists Bar Association in promoting legal awareness, providing legal aid, and contributing to the administration of justice. He assured the delegation that the concerns and suggestions placed before him would receive due consideration.
The Kashmir Jurists Bar Association has reaffirmed its commitment to working in close coordination with all stakeholders for the advancement of the legal profession and the promotion of justice and the rule of law.
