J&K Mission Director, NHM, undertakes comprehensive inspection of critical departments of LD hospital

: Mission Director, National Health Mission (NHM), J&K, Ms. Akriti Sagar, IAS, visited Lal Ded (LD) Hospital, here today to review the functioning of the Maternal and Child Health (MCH) Programme and other healthcare initiatives being implemented under the ambit of NHM.

Dr Muzaffar Jan, Medical Superintendent, LD Hospital , Srinagar, Dr. Bisma Khan, Programme Manager, Maternal Health, Dr. Adil, Assistant Programme Manager (APM), NHM J&K, along with other senior health officials and hospital dignitaries were present.
During the visit, the Mission Director undertook a comprehensive inspection of various critical departments of the hospital, including the OPD, Emergency Room, Operation Theatres (OTs), Special Newborn Care Unit (SNCU), and Labour Room. She reviewed the availability of essential services, infrastructure, equipment, and the quality of patient care being provided under NHM-supported programmes.
Further, worthy Mission Director, NHM , J&K Ms. Akriti Sagar interacted with beneficiaries, their attendants, doctors, nurses, and other healthcare staff to obtain firsthand feedback on service delivery, patient satisfaction, and the implementation of maternal and newborn health interventions. She appreciated the dedication of the hospital staff in providing quality healthcare services and emphasized the importance of maintaining high standards of patient care, ensuring timely service delivery, strengthening infection prevention and control practices, and further improving maternal and newborn health outcomes.
