J&K LG Manoj Sinha visits Budgam, offers condolences to family of slain police constable Ashiq Qureshi

SRINAGAR, JULY 25 (STC): Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha visited Lalpora, Beroha area of Budgam district and met the bereaved family of martyred Head Constable Ashiq Hussain Qureshi of Jammu and Kashmir Police.
On this occasion, the Lieutenant Governor paid rich tributes to the martyred policeman and expressed his heartfelt condolences and sympathy to his family. He said that the entire nation is proud of the courage, bravery, sense of duty and great sacrifice of Ashiq Hussain Qureshi. He said that his unparalleled services and sacrifice for the country will always remain a part of the collective memory of the nation and will continue to provide encouragement and inspiration to the coming generations to serve the country and the nation.
Manoj Sinha said that the martyr’s high character, commitment to duty, patriotism and feelings of respect for the motherland will always be a beacon for the establishment of peace, prosperity and development in Jammu and Kashmir. He assured that the Jammu and Kashmir administration stands firmly with the martyr’s family in this difficult time and all possible steps will be taken to ensure their honor, dignity and well-being.
The LG assured the martyr’s family that the government will provide all possible support until the martyr’s son completes his education and after completing his education, when he is eligible for government service, all necessary steps will be taken to provide him a government job on compassionate grounds. He said on this occasion that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, significant achievements have been made in weakening the structure of terrorism and eliminating the ecosystem of terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir.
He expressed his resolve that terrorism will be completely eradicated from Jammu and Kashmir and till this goal is achieved, the operations of the security forces and administration will continue with full force.
He appealed to the people of Jammu and Kashmir, especially the youth, to learn from the patriotism, sense of duty and sacrifice of Shaheed Ashiq Hussain Qureshi, remain united for the integrity and peace of the country and fully cooperate in the ongoing struggle against terrorism. “The sacrifices of the martyrs will never go in vain and their great services will always be remembered with respect and pride, the LG said.
