Jammu and Kashmir fully literate UT under ULLAS: LG Manoj Sinha

With a reported literacy success rate of 99.09 percent, Jammu and Kashmir has is now a fully literate Union Territory under the Government of India’s ULLAS (Understanding Lifelong Learning for All in Society) scheme.
Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha stated this here today. on Tuesday. In a post on X, the Office of the Lieutenant Governor said the achievement makes JK the largest population region in the country to attain the milestone under the ULLAS initiative.
The LG congratulated teachers, administrators and other stakeholders involved in the effort. Sinha said education remained the strongest instrument of empowerment and called for continued efforts to promote inclusive learning.
“UT of Jammu Kashmir proudly joins the league of Fully Literate States/UTs under the ULLAS scheme of Government of India. With 99.09 percent success, it stands tall as the largest population region to achieve this milestone,” LG Sinha said.
“Congratulations to our teachers, administrators and every stakeholder who made this possible. Let us always remember that education is the truest force of empowerment and our collective responsibility is to keep advancing this mission,” he said.
