Honour of wearing police uniform comes with heavy responsibility: J&K DGP Nalin Prabhat

SRINAGAR, SEPTEMBER 18 (STC): Jammu and Kashmir Police Chief Nalin Prabhat congratulated the recently selected candidates for the Jammu and Kashmir Police (Gazetted) Services and said that wearing the police uniform is a great honor as well as a heavy responsibility and various kinds of risks. Addressing the newly selected candidates at a function held at Lok Bhawan in Srinagar, DGP Nalin Prabhat said that today is a happy occasion for the selected candidates and their families, however, they should also understand that the police Wearing a uniform is not an easy responsibility.
He said that there are great responsibilities associated with the uniform and police officers may have to face various challenges during their job.
DGP Prabhat said that during police service, situations may arise where the lives of officials and officers are at risk. He asked the newly selected candidates to take their training seriously so that they can face every situation they face in the future with strength and professionalism.
“During the training, the newly selected officers will be equipped with the necessary skills, confidence and professional abilities to meet the requirements of the police service, which will enable them to discharge their duties with dedication and duty,” the DGP said.
