SRINAGAR, OCTOBER 24 (STC): Apni Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari has appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar to ensure the safe and early return of Kashmiri Umrah pilgrims stranded in Saudi Arabia following the cancellation of their return flights.

He urged the Union government to intervene immediately and make necessary arrangements for their safe return.
“I appeal to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar to intervene and ensure that the Kashmiri pilgrims stranded in Saudi Arabia are brought back home safely and at the earliest,” Bukhari said.
He said the government must extend all possible assistance to the affected pilgrims until their return flights are arranged.
Bukhari also stressed the need for immediate financial and logistical support, saying the stranded pilgrims should not be left to face further hardship because of circumstances beyond their control.
