: Nearly 1,500 Kashmiri students studying across various universities in Iran remain stranded, sparking growing concern among families in Jammu and Kashmir.
Local news agency Kashmir News Service (KNS) in its report quoting the parents has urged the Prime Minister, Home Minister, Ministry of External Affairs, LG Manoj Sinha, and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to immediately intervene and ensure the safe evacuation of their children.
“We let our children go, but now they’re stuck. Iraqis and Pakistanis have left, but our children remain. Nobody is asking about us. We feel abandoned,” a mother said.
According to some parents, students from several other countries have already been flown back, and the delay from Indian authorities is causing deep anxiety. They are calling for swift and coordinated action before the situation worsens.(STC)
