At least 10 killed, five missing in landslide & cloudburst incidents in Jammu province

Jammu, AUGUST 30 (STC): At least ten people have died and five others gone missing following a landslide in Reasi district and a cloudburst in Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir, officials said on Friday.
In Reasi’s Bhadder village of Mahore tehsil, a landslide buried a house early in the morning, trapping seven family members inside. Rescue teams, including police and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), were deployed, and all seven bodies have been recovered, officials confirmed.
Meanwhile, in Ramban’s Rajgarh tehsil, a cloudburst triggered flash floods that resulted in three deaths and left five individuals unaccounted for.
Rescue operations are underway to locate the missing persons.
Officials said the natural events caused damage to property and disrupted normal life in the affected areas. Authorities are providing relief to the families and continuing search efforts.
Residents in landslide- and flood-prone zones have been advised to stay cautious and avoid risky areas during heavy rainfall.
