Government orders all schools and colleges in J&K to remain closed tomorrow

SRINAGAR, SEPTEMBER 03 (STC): In view of the prevailing inclement weather conditions, Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday ordered the closure of all schools and colleges across the region tomorrow.
Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, has issued an order directing all school to remain closed tomorrow owing to inclement weather.
According to a directive, issued under Order No. 90-DC (HE) of 2025 by Dr. Sheikh Ajaz Bashir, Director Colleges J&K, stated that the measure has been taken as a precautionary step to ensure the safety of students and staff.
“All Government Degree Colleges/GCETs/Private Colleges in the UT of J&K shall remain closed on 04th September, 2025 (Thursday),” the order reads.
The directives comes amid continuous rainfall and flood-like conditions in several districts, where authorities are taking precautionary measures to prevent any untoward incident.
