Government issues new timing for all schools in Kashmir Division from tomorrow

SRINAGAR, OCTOBER 31 (STC): The Jammu and Kashmir Government has ordered change in school timing from tomorrow (November 01, 2025) in Kashmir Division. The new timing will be applicable to both Government and recognised private schools in the Valley. In this regard, the Directorate of School Education, Kashmir (DSEK) has issued a new order, bearing No: 309-DSEK of 2025, stating that the schools falling within the Srinagar Municipal limits will now function from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Meanwhile, schools located outside the Municipal limits of Srinagar District and in other areas of Kashmir will operate from 10:30 AM to 3:30 PM.
The Directorate has instructed all concerned institutions to strictly follow the revised timings without any deviation.
