Srinagar woman nabbed in Pulwama in with 421 Grams of Charas: Police

SRINAGAR, NOVEMBER 09 (STC): Jammu and Kashmir Police in Awantipora apprehended a woman hailing from Srinagar during naka checking at Padgampora, Pulwama with 421 grams of charas from her possession.
According to the Police statement , a team of Police personnel under the supervision of SDPO Awantipora during naka checking at Padgampora noticed a lady moving suspiciously from Padgampora towards Awantipora. On seeing the police party, she tried to flee from the spot but was tactfully apprehended.
On questioning, the lady disclosed her identity as Rubeena W/o Ashiq Ahmad Sheikh R/o Zahidpora Hawal, near Halwai Masjid, Srinagar, reads the statement.
The police further states that upon her personal search, ten sticks of charas-like substance weighing 421 grams were recovered from her possession. The contraband was seized on the spot under proper seizure memo, and the accused has been arrested.
A Case FIR No. 245/2025 under relevant sections of the NDPS Act has been registered under relevant sections of the law.
