LG Sihna praises J&K Police for cracking pan-India terror module

JAMMU, NOVEMBER 16 (STC): Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has showered all praises on Jammu and Kashmir Police for cracking pan-India terror module. The LG said the Police have dismantled the terror module, preventing planned attacks across the country.
Addressing a function here today, he said the module, linked to the Red Fort blast, was cracked through timely intelligence and coordinated action by the police.
Sinha expressed grief over the Nowgam Police Station incident, where an accidental explosion occurred during the forensic examination of explosives recovered from arrested terrorists. The LG said a team was collecting samples of explosives seized in connection with the Red Fort case when the blast occurred, resulting in the death of nine people, including six police personnel.
The LG clarified that the explosion had no terror angle or outside intervention and was accidental.
Praising police for actions that prevented further attacks, LG Sinha said that authorities have launched a detailed inquiry, and support is being provided to the injured and the families of those who died.
