SKIMS fraternity condoles demise of Dr Hamid Durrani

: Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) fraternity led by its Director, Prof. M. Ashraf Ganie, has expressed profound grief over the sad demise of Dr. Hamid Durrani, former Senior Professor of Medicine at Government Medical College (GMC), Srinagar. Dr. Durrani passed away today at Khyber Hospital at the age of 93 years.
Dr. Durrani was a distinguished academician and clinician, remembered for his lifelong dedication to medical education, patient care, and mentorship of generations of physicians.
His contributions to the field of internal medicine and to the medical fraternity of Jammu & Kashmir will be remembered with deep respect, reads the statement of SKIMS.
He is survived by his son, an Interventional Cardiologist based in the United States, and two daughters.
The Director SKIMS and the SKIMS fraternity extend heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and pray for eternal peace to the departed soul. May Allah grant him the highest place in Jannah and give strength to his family to bear this irreparable loss, the statement said.
