IGP Kashmir greets people on Eid, Navroz, Navratri, Ram Navmi

SRINAGAR, MARCH 20 (STC): Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir V K Birdi said that security and traffic arrangements have been put in place across Jammu and Kashmir during Ramzan and ahead of upcoming festivals.
Talking to media, he said police have made arrangements in markets to manage traffic and ensure movement of people. He added that all districts in the Kashmir Valley have been directed to maintain security and regulate markets in view of Eid and the day of Arafah.
The IGP said security arrangements will be in place at Eid prayer venues, while traffic plans have also been prepared to avoid congestion.
He said police stations have been instructed to assist the public to ensure movement.
He further said that several festivals, including Eid, Arafah, Navroz, Navratri and Ram Navmi, are approaching, and measures have been taken to ensure celebrations.
The IGP extended greetings to the people on Eid and also conveyed his wishes for Navroz, Navratri and Ram Navmi.
