‘Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan’: Kashmir Jurists Bar Association holds awareness programme at Women’s College, M. A. Road, Srinagar

SRINAGAR, APRIL 21 (STC): With an aim to raise awareness among youth about the harmful effects of drugs abuse, the Kashmir lawyers body – Kashmir Jurists Bar Association (KJBA) – organized a programme under the ‘Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan’ at the Government Women’s College, M.A. Road, Srinagar, today. The programme was conducted in collaboration with the college.
President KJBA, Adv. Altaf Ganderbali, presided over the programme in presence of Dr. Yaseen Farooq, Principal of College.
The event was coordinated by Chief Coordinator KJBA, Adv. Tajamul Choudhary, along with active participation from Senior Executive Member Adv. Ahsan-ul-Haq, Senior Advocate Adv. Ahmad Javid, Chief Spokesperson Adv. Nandiya Rashid, Adv. Tanveer Ali, Uzair Latief, and Er. Burhan Mehraj.

The primary objective of the programme was to raise awareness among youth about the harmful effects of drug abuse and to encourage a drug-free society. Speakers emphasized the urgent need to safeguard young minds from the menace of drugs and highlighted the importance of counseling and rehabilitation for those already affected.
The event witnessed a large gathering of advocates from KJBA and enthusiastic participation from students of Government Women’s College, reflecting a strong collective commitment towards building a drug-free Kashmir.
The organisers reiterated their dedication to continue such awareness initiatives and to work closely with educational institutions and society at large to combat drug abuse effectively.
