Centre asks Indian nationals not to travel Iran

NEW DRLHI, APRIL 23 (STC): The Central government has advised Indian nationals not to travel to Iran. At the sane time, those stuck in Iran have been asked to explore opportunity to exit from that country. The government said that resumption of some flights does not signal normalcy amid continued airspace restrictions and regional tensions.
Issuing a fresh advisory, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said the warning supersedes any impression that travel to the Islamic Republic has become safe.
“Indian citizens are strongly advised not to travel to Iran, whether by air or land,” an MEA official told news agency Kashmir News Service (KNS).
The government said airspace restrictions and operational uncertainties due to regional tensions continue to affect international flight operations to and from Iran.
In a separate directive, New Delhi asked all Indian nationals currently in Iran to exit the country through designated land border routes in strict coordination with the Indian Embassy in Tehran.
