ANTI DRUG DRIVE: J&K Police inducts sniffer dog squad to combat drug menace

SRINAGAR, APRIL 24 (STC): Strengthening its campaign against narcotics trade, Jammu and Kashmir Police in Srinagar have pressed its specialised Narcotic Dog Squad into service across multiple vulnerable locations in the Srinagar district.
The trained sniffer dogs have been strategically positioned at key checkpoints to detect hidden contraband and assist in the swift apprehension of drug peddlers, officials said.
“The deployment of the canine squad has significantly enhanced our on-the-spot detection capabilities and strengthened ground-level enforcement,” a police spokesperson said.
Officials have urged people to extend full cooperation and share actionable information to curb the drug menace.
