Cabinet expansion on cards in J&K soon

: Three vacant ministerial berths in the Jammu and Kashmir government may soon be filled, reports a cross section of media.
Quoting sources, the reports said the proposed cabinet expansion is expected to focus on maintaining balanced regional representation across the union territory. The reports indicate that one cabinet minister may be inducted from South Kashmir, another from Srinagar district, and the third from North Kashmir.

The move is said to be aimed at strengthening governance and enhancing outreach across different regions of the Valley. It has also been learnt that discussions over probable candidates and allocation of portfolios are underway within the ruling setup.
However, there has been no official confirmation from the government regarding the timing of the expansion.
