India-Pakistan track II dialogue unofficial : Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri

NEW DELHI, JUNE 29 (STC): India’s Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri today dismissed reports of any official India-Pakistan Track II dialogue. He made it clear that the Government of India has neither participated in nor endorsed any such engagement.
Responding to media reports, Misri said there is “nothing official” about the reported meeting, describing it as a purely private event.
He emphasized that the Government of India has no association with the initiative and asserted that such unofficial engagements hold no value for India.
The clarification comes amid speculation over reported Track II interactions between individuals from India and Pakistan, with New Delhi reiterating that the discussions do not reflect the government’s position or policy.
