INDIA-ENGLAND T20: India ‘baby’ gets stumped, Gavaskar stunned

JULY 05 (STC): India’s cricketing sensation, ‘baby’ Vaibhav Sooryavanshi didn’t miss focus of ‘who is who’ in the world of cricket though he failed to score in his international debut innings which lasted just 10 balls during India vs England T20.
The ‘baby’ scored 14 runs off 10 balls and was stumped by Jos Buttler off Will Jacks on the fifth ball of the fifth over.
Notably, in those 10 balls, Sooryavanshi hit Jofra Archer and Josh Tongue for sixes. The left-hander stepped out against a flat delivery outside off, but his attempted cut went in vain as he was outfoxed and Jos Buttler completed the dismissal.
Sunil Gavaskar, calling Sooryavanshi India’s baby, said it was highly uncharacteristic of Sooryavanshi to go for such a cut shot.
“That is not his shot. His shot is the cover drive,” Sunil Gavaskar said on Sony Sports while discussing Sooryavanshi’s dismissal.
