BJP national president Nabin begins 2-day J&K visit to review party affairs

JAMMU, JULY 06 (STC): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president Nitin Nabin arrived on a two-day visit here today. He is here to review the party’s organisational affairs.
Accompanied by the party’s national general secretary and Jammu and Kashmir in-charge Tarun Chugh, Nabin was received at the airport by Union Minister Jitendra Singh, Jammu and Kashmir BJP president Sat Sharma and other senior party leaders.
Hundreds of party workers greeted the BJP chief with slogans, floral petals and bouquets.
Immediately after his arrival, Nabin headed for Mishriwala on the outskirts of Jammu.
Addressing a meeting of party workers in the suburban area of Jammu, Nitin Niban said that Prime Minister Modi fulfilled the long-standing dream of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee by abrogating Article 370, which resulted in the complete integration of Jammu and Kashmir with India.
He said, “There was a time when Pakistani flags were hoisted in Lal Chowk in Srinagar, but today the Indian tricolor is hoisted with full glory at this place. This is the change that has come under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.”
The BJP President said that peace, development and national unity have been promoted in Jammu and Kashmir and positive changes have been seen in the region due to the policies of the Center.
According to the BJP, Nitin Niban will chair a meeting with officials at the party’s Trikota Nagar office during his visit, where the party’s organizational activities in Jammu and Kashmir will be reviewed. He will also visit the historic Raghunath Temple in Jammu and pay homage to Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee.
On Tuesday, the BJP chief will visit the revered Mata Vaishno Devi Temple in the morning before paying tributes to Prem Nath Dogra at his statue in Dogra Chowk.
He is also scheduled to hold separate meetings with BJP MPs and MLAs, former elected representatives and participate in a “Yuva Samvad” at the Convention Centre in Jammu, the spokesman said.
