CM Omar Abdullah condemns killing of civilians in South Kashmir

Calls upon security agencies to prevent future attacks

SRINAGAR, AUGUST 04 (STC): Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Tuesday condemned the killing of civilians in South Kashmir. He said no religion permits such violence and called upon security agencies to prevent future attacks.
“No religion allows you to kill innocent people. No matter how much you criticise it, no matter how many words are used against it, it will be less,” CM Omar said.

Flagging the responsibility of the security establishment in the valley, the CM said, “The people responsible for maintaining security here, it is expected that they will not allow such attacks.”
Earlier, CM Omar performed the ceremonial tee-off at the Royal Springs Golf Course to mark the start of the fifth edition of the J&K Open, a flagship event of the Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI).
