CM Omar thanks PM Modi for approving funds worth Rs 475.41 crore for modernization of ITIs in J&K

SRINAGAR, OCTOBER 17 (STC): Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for approving Rs 475.41 crore under PM Sitho for modernizing key clusters of Industrial Training Institutions (ITIs) in Jammu and Kashmir. He also thanked Union Minister for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Jayant Chaudhary for approving the strategic investment plans.
“This initiative will play a significant role in modernizing the vocational training infrastructure in Jammu and Kashmir, strengthening linkages with industries and equipping the youth of the region with practical and technical skills required for employment,” the CM said and added that the modernization of ITIs will provide better opportunities for the youth to acquire job-ready skills and increase their employability. The Chief Minister expressed hope that this investment under PM Sitho will further strengthen the skill sector in Jammu and Kashmir and create new employment opportunities for the youth.
