Srinagar Police advises public to stay away from IuM, AAC

: Srinagar Police has launched a public awareness campaign across the Srinagar city, urging people to disassociate themselves from the Itehad-ul-Muslimeen and the Awami Action Committee (AAC).
The announcements in this regard were made through loudspeakers and posters at multiple locations in the city.
According to the reports, police vehicles could be seen equipped with loudspeakers traversing various localities, including key areas like Lal Chowk and Karan Nagar.
Through these public address systems, authorities called on the general public to stay away from the two organisations.
The wall posters carrying the same message were pasted on walls, poles, and other public spots in several neighborhoods.
The posters reportedly warn citizens against associating with the Itehad-ul-Muslimeen and AAC, reiterating the police’s advisory.
The move is part of a broader awareness campaign aimed at educating the public about certain groups and their affiliations., sais police officials. They also informed that the campaign may expand in the coming days.
