SRINAGAR, MAY 21 (STC): Annual Regular Examinations for classes 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th across Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh Union Territories, will be held in October-November starting from 2025. The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) on Wednesday said this while announcing the revised academic schedule, restoring the March-November academic session across these regions.
In a formal notification, the board clarified that the decision brings back the earlier academic calendar, impacting both winter and summer zones differently.
For students in the Kashmir Division, winter zone areas of Jammu Division, and Ladakh, the academic session will now run from March to November.
Meanwhile, in the summer zone of Jammu Division, the academic session will follow the 2025-26 schedule, with annual regular examinations for the same classes set to take place in February-March 2026.
JKBOSE officials said this move is aimed at streamlining the academic calendar to align with climatic and logistical conditions across the Union Territories.
