J&K weatherman predicts intermittent rain, thundershowers till July 2

SRINAGAR, JUNE 24 (STC)
: A fresh weather advisory predicts intermittent spells of rain and thundershowers across parts of Jammu and Kashmir until July 2.
Issued by the Meteorological Department today, the advisory states that from June 25 to 27, the region is likely to witness generally cloudy skies accompanied by intermittent light to moderate rain and thundershowers at many places. There is also a possibility of heavy rainfall in isolated areas of the Jammu division, which may trigger flash floods, landslides, mudslides, and shooting stones in vulnerable regions. Low-lying areas in the Jammu plains may experience waterlogging, while rivers and local streams are expected to witness a rise in water levels.
Between June 28 and 30, intermittent rain and thundershowers are expected at scattered places across both Jammu and Kashmir divisions.
From July 1 to 2, the MeT department has forecast the continuation of scattered rainfall and thundershowers.(STC)
