: Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party Chief Altaf Bukhari has condemned the reported assault on SpiceJet airline staff at Srinagar Airport, allegedly by a senior Army officer. He has demanded strict legal action in the matter.
Bukhari described the incident as “utterly shocking” and called for the Army officer involved to be held accountable under the law of the land.
“The Army officer involved in assaulting SpiceJet staff members—gravely injuring four of them—must face the law. Such behaviour by a senior officer is unacceptable,” the Apni Party Chief said in a statement.
He expressed sympathies with the injured employees and wished them a speedy recovery.
“I trust that the law will take its course and that the perpetrator will receive exemplary punishment,” he added.
