Pulwama Sports Stadium Rocks at Day Night Inaugural Match of TCI Max Royal Premier League Pulwama 2025

Pulwama, 26, Aug: The Sports Stadium Pulwama witnessed electrifying scenes as cricket lovers thronged the venue for the inaugural clash of the TCI Max Royal Premier League (RPL) Pulwama 2025.

The high-profile league was formally inaugurated by MLA Pulwama, SSP Pulwama, Secretary Sports Council, ACD Pulwama, along with other dignitaries. The event marks a significant step in promoting youth engagement and sportsmanship in the district.

In the opening match, Royal Goodwill Cricket Club registered a thrilling win over Sultan Warriors. Batting first, Royals managed to score 114 runs. In reply, Sultan Warriors faltered and were bowled out for 92 runs.

The star of the day was Anuj Kumar, who delivered a stellar all-round performance, picking up a sensational 5-wicket haul and contributing a valuable 28 runs with the bat. His heroics earned him the Player of the Match award.

With 10 teams participating, each paying an entry fee of ₹5 lakh, the league promises high-intensity cricket spread across 27 matches. The total prize money stands at ₹15 lakh for the winner and ₹8 lakh for the runner-up, with a car worth ₹5 lakh for the Man of the Tournament. Man of the Match awards, live streaming, LED systems, and professional setups make this one of the most ambitious cricket leagues in South Kashmir.

The league also provided opportunities for nearly 50 youngsters to work and contribute during the tournament. Transparency in transactions has been emphasized, with all sponsorships and finances being handled through official accounts.

Sponsorship support includes four key sponsors, with TCI Max as the title sponsor, while 2–3 local sponsors are also backing the event.

The cricketing spectacle promises not only top-quality competition but also a celebration of youth talent and community bonding in Pulwama.
