Justice Hasnain Masoodi, Director Education G.N. Itoo Review School Infrastructure in Pampore; Assure New Building at Lethpora

PAMPORE, SEPTEMBER 17 (STC): Justice Hasnain Masoodi, MLA Pampore, along with Director School Education Kashmir, Sh. G.N. Itoo, conducted an extensive tour of Pampore constituency to review the condition of educational institutions. They were accompanied by the Chief Education Officer Pulwama and other senior officials of the department.

During the visit, the delegation inspected the unsafe building of Government Higher Secondary School Lethpora and interacted with staff members and local residents. The community voiced serious concerns over the deteriorated infrastructure and its impact on the academic environment.

Responding to these concerns, Justice Masoodi assured the public that a new double-storey school building worth Rs 4 crore will soon be constructed at Lethpora, providing students with safe and modern facilities.

The delegation also visited Boys Higher Secondary School Kakapora, which was badly damaged during the floods. They reviewed the extent of the damage and heard demands from residents for repairs, reconstruction of additional classrooms, earth filling, and boundary wall construction.

Locals highlighted the difficulties being faced by both staff and students due to unsafe and inadequate infrastructure. The MLA and the Director of Education assured the people that all genuine demands will be taken up on priority to ensure a safe and improved learning environment for students in the area. (STC)
